The department of Mechanics provides training at Holeta polytechnic College on level I and level II. It also trains skilled manpower for local Industries.
It also provides the trainees with knowledge, skill and right attitude which make them competent in real world and prepare students for productive and satisfying occupations in Mechanics department.

There is a good chance that graduates of this profession will be employed directly, because there are so many industries in the area.The industries in the area are need of skilled manpower. As a result, this profession is playing a major role in the environment.

That being said, not everything is perfect, we are training trainees’ a difficult situation. For example, many of the machines purchased by government for training have been idle for years due to insufficient electrical power.

It also prevents trainers from receiving the training they need to train on these machines. In fact, the trainees will be trained at the General MulugetaBuli Technical College in Holeta. But that is not enough. But we do have a wide range of standard training and learning workshops with adequate materials.
