Agro-processing field is one of the priority area of the College and the college is working to become Center of Excellence in Agro-processing that produces skilled and employable work force by delivering market-oriented and gender sensitive quality training through acquiring and adapting modern technologies that meets the skilled human power that required by the industries development parks in different economic corner of the country that in line with the Ethiopian TVET police and strategy of 2021 that leads to growth development plan for economic and social development of the country.
The program was inaugurated in 2020 for the first time. on dairy product processing and fruit and vegetable processing from level I-IV providing training by three instructors. The training workshops of these occupation are furnished with equipment donated by KFW and government treasure.
Currently the college give high attention to the Agro-processing occupations and working to be center of excellence in the area through EASTRIP (East Africa Skills Transformation Regional Integration project) which is funded by the World Bank.
